Health Education Trust works with a variety of partners on different projects:
Soil Association
Health Education Trust (HET) is a national partner of the Soil Association Food for Life. Soil Association is the lead organisation on Food for Life. The programme is all about transforming food culture – making healthy, tasty and sustainable meals the norm, reconnecting people with where their food comes from, teaching them how it’s grown and cooked, and championing the importance of well-sourced ingredients.
Food for Life works with thousands of schools, nurseries, hospitals and care homes, helping them build knowledge and skills through a ‘whole setting approach’.
Garden Organic
Together with Health Education Trust, Garden Organic is one of the national partners of the the Soil Association Food for Life project. Garden Organic leads on organic gardening in different settings and making sure that everyone learns to grow their own food. Their education programmes help teachers and school professionals to develop gardening projects that teach children where their food comes from, develop their scientific and environmental awareness and encourage them to eat more fruit and vegetables.
Focus on Food
Together with Health Education Trust, Focus on Food is one of the national partners of the the Soil Association Food for Life project.
Focus on Food is a charitable food education programme that champions cooking as an essential ingredient for healthy, happy lifestyles. Being able to cook encourages healthy eating, reduces health inequalities and is a crucial skill.
Royal Society of Public Health
Together with Health Education Trust, Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) is one of the national partners of the the Soil Association Food for Life project. RSPH is an independent, multi-disciplinary charity dedicated to the improvement of the public’s health and wellbeing. It helps to inform policy and practice, working to educate, empower and support communities and individuals to live healthily.
Food to Fit
Food To Fit ltd is a well-established international Nutrition & Dietetics Consultancy, with a broad remit and overall goal of achieving practical solutions to promote good nutrition. Food To Fit was established in 1999 and our consultancy team has undertaken a wide variety of assignments for UK and International organisations. We provides advice and support on nutrition and health matters; work with food industry clients on strategic planning and nutrition communications; and are committed to promoting effective practices around school food and nutrition issues, in particular school allergy policies.
